How do I bulk import social media articles into Buffer?

CYBERSECURITY ARTICLES

  1. If you haven't already, sign up to Buffer and create an account.
  2. Login to Buffer and connect it to at least one of your social profiles (Facebook, Twitter etc)

  3. Download the Social Media .CSV file for Buffer from the Membership to your computer.
  4. Buffer doesn't have a bulk uploading feature natively, so we need to use a third-party service called BulkBuffer. Go to Bulkbuffer.com and log in with your Buffer account.
  5. Once logged in, you will see a box that says "Click or drop a file on me to import updates". Click on that, find the social media .CSV file and import it.

  6. You will see the posts imported. Press the "Send to Buffer" button at the bottom
  7. You will see ticks appear as each post is important. You can stay on the page or navigate away.

  8. Log back into Buffer and go to "Publishing > Queue"

  9. You will see the posts imported. Unfortunately, Buffer will put two per day. You can grab and drag the posts to cover the rest of the days of the month.

TECH HOLIDAYS

  1. To schedule Tech Holidays, Buffer doesn't let you specify what date the posts will be added from Bulk Buffer. So you have to manually drag each content to the correct dates after the Import.
  2. Start by importing the tech holiday CSV file, which is downloaded from the Tech Holidays page. See step 4 in the CyberSecurity Articles section above.
  3. After import, drag each of the holiday posts to their correct dates. The list of holiday dates can be found on the Tech Holidays page.
  4.  To add an image, click Edit button on the post you want an image added.
  5. On the pop-up that appears, click Add image or video and select the image you want to add.
  6. Click Save.
  7. The post will now be posted on the scheduled date with the image.
